FAQ (CATIT)

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it need batteries?
Yes — the Catit Spinner runs on AAA batteries (not included). It’s built to conserve energy while delivering hours of motion-activated play.

Can I replace the fabric cover?
Yes. The soft textured fabric can be removed and replaced. Replacements will be available soon in our shop.

What kinds of cats does it work for?
Most indoor cats benefit from the Spinner. It’s especially great for cats who:

  • Eat too fast or throw up often

  • Sleep all day and need more activity

  • Show signs of boredom (like meowing, scratching, etc.)

  • Are overweight or need more stimulation

Is it safe at night?
Definitely. The Spinner is quiet and has LED-lit ears that glow softly — ideal for nighttime play that won’t disturb the household.

How does it activate?
It’s motion-activated. A tap from your cat starts the spinning, encouraging them to play on their own.

Will it work with any treats or kibble?
It’s best with dry treats or kibble smaller than 0.4 inches in size.

Can I leave my cat alone with it?
Yes — it’s designed for solo play. The motion activation and treat rewards make it a great companion while you’re out.

Will it help reduce vomiting?
For many cats, yes. Because it slows eating, it can prevent “scarf and barf” behavior. This has been noted in feedback from vets and cat owners.

Does it really help overweight cats slim down?
While it’s not a diet, the Catit Spinner promotes more movement during feeding, which supports weight loss and activity.

What makes it better than regular toys?
It mimics prey behavior (random motion, light, texture), dispenses food, and activates only with interaction — all proven to boost engagement.

Can kittens use it?
Yes. Curious kittens and playful young cats tend to love it. It’s safe and gentle enough for all life stages.

What if my cat ignores it?
Give it time. Some cats take a few tries before showing interest — especially if they’re used to traditional bowls. Try adding a favorite treat inside to start.
